Directions to Reach the Centre

Gorakhpur is the main railway terminus for Kushinagar (60kms from the Centre); it is well connected through rail network. The Gorakhpur Railway Station is an important station in the area and serves as the headquarters of the North Eastern Zone of the Indian Railways.

Deoria is the rail-stop before Gorakhpur Railway Station (on the Allahabad-Gorakhpur rail route). The Centre is merely 35kms away from here. In such a case (that Deoria falls on the rail route), one could get off at Deoria (without having to proceed to Gorakhpur).

An Air Force Station was established in Gorakhpur in 1963 which was later extended for public transport. It has been named as Maha Yogi Gorakhnath Airport (after a renowned ascetic who was a prominent saint of the Nath Sampradaya.) There are daily flights which connect Gorakhpur to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and other prominent Indian cities. The Centre is 55kms. away from the Airport.

An airstrip of UP Civil Aviation is situated in Kasya, 5kms away from Kushinagar, currently being developed as an International Airport by the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Government of India. This is expected to be operational by 2019 and will connect Kushinagar to the world.

From Gorakhpur Airport

You could take a prepaid taxi to the Centre which is located about 55kms from the Airport. This may cost Rs.1,100 (approx). Alternatively, you could go to the Gorakhpur Bus Stand opposite Gorakhpur Railway Station (7kms, Rs.50 – 80 approx) and follow the directions given below.

From Gorakhpur Railway Station

The Centre is about 60kms from the Railway Station. One could take a taxi directly to the Centre (Rs.1,200, 75minutes away).

Or one could board a bus to Kushinagar from the Gorkhapur Bus Stand located opposite the Railway station. You would have to get off at the Kasya Overbridge, and take an auto to Banwari Tola Chauraha (about 5kms from here, Rs.80 approx) Take the road going to village Dhuria Bhat. The Centre is located less than a km. ahead on this road.

From Deoria Railway Station

From here, one could take a taxi directly to the Centre (Rs.600 approx, merely 30minutes) or a bus going towards Kushinagar, and get off at Banwari Tola (about 30kms on Deoria-Kasya road, 5kms before Kushinagar). Take the road going to Village Dhuria Bhat. The Centre is located less than 1 km. ahead on this road.
